your on the Northside of town right? I know alot of people go to Slater's out there. I would probably go there since its convenient to you. If you are not on the northside let me know I will get you pointed in the right direction. That should be sick as hell though a cammed out Volvo!

Oh I wish the one in the sig was mine LMAO. Nah, I found that one on turbobricks. Mine is a silver 244, pics are in the gallery. No engine mods whatsoever, as I have a money pit in my Mustang for that lol. Just suspension & audio for now. Bilstein HD's, iPd lowering springs, all new bits & pieces new for the suspension in front (tie rods, ball joints, etc.), & everything upgraded so far in audio. Just my daily.
& cool, I'll go check them out in a bit.

That's cool though. Atleast you don't have the old 1030. That 1031 should last you a bit as long as you don't get any sticky tires, & go crazy with burnouts. Considering modded B230's with 250-300 ft/lbs of torque are still running them welded. If you haven't already, log on to turbobricks. Tons of info regarding suspension setups there. They won't help ya worth a squat in regards to V8 swaps, (they prefer to keep it Volvo), but the other info is great lol.

ya i am registered on there. got on it to ask a few questions about the 1031. found out detriot makes a true trac for it. may put one in mine. im peg legging it at the moment.... and with 205's i have damn near no traction Sad unfortunately there are no aftermarket options for ring and pinions, except for used ones. the true trac is like 479 though may just build up an 8.8 and stick it under the car

I would go with an 8.8 honestly. Just remove ALL Ford mounting points, and set it up for Volvo hardware. Compare them in length once they're out, and send the 8.8 to get shortened. I'm pretty sure it's the same process as if you were prepping one for a Mustang that's getting minitubbed or something. I don't know what to do in regards to the axles, but I'm sure it's not rocket science.

I've collected these links in my favorites for reference:

& this one is aight...

thats what i was thinking. there is a gentleman on corral.net named micheal yount i believe who has a 2 door volvo with a 5.0 and he just did the 8.8 swap. just got a fox 8.8 and knocked off the mounts as you said and welded on the volvo mounts. thats probably the route i will go.

Yeah, I would start looking into a differential change if you're planning on putting down any more power. Beauty of a V8 is the instant torque, which honestly, Volvo differentials aren't used to lol. That's considering if the engine swap is already reliable enough as it is. Once that's settled, time for some serious POWAH!!!! hahaha.

You could always swap to an A9L like most do.
