SIGH scratch

Replaced:

spark plugs
fuel
fuel tank
fuel pump
checked coil packs
new oil filter
new fuel filter
new oil
new oil again
oil treatment

hoping the oil treatment clears out the problem in the lifters,.... or ordering new lifters tomorrow. $140 Evil or Very Mad Mad

oh and dropped some $800 tires on the bisch. Very Happy Nitto 555's. 275 back 245 fronts I love you

what motor? a 4.6? stock lifters? stock cam? what lifter noise are you thinking off.. oil treatment is a bad idea on new low clearance engines especially the modulars is this a SOHC or DOHC engine? on fords lifter noise is common if your using to thick of oil. using a non motorcraft filter or one without the anti drain back valve in it. try using 5w-20 oil. also cold weather makes the oil thicker.. and u will get some slight lifter noise on cold starts.

its is a 4.6 SOHC. the oil was too thick, and we had to change it to the 5w-20 oil, and the oil treatment is starting to break loose the lifter . left side of the lifters seem to be stuck, and they're starting to clear through when we gas the car or w.e hoping tomorrow they breakt hrough the rest of the way and the nosie goes away completely. its almost gone, a lot better than it was.

engine is surging and losing power sorta, its like running like a 6 instead of 8.

car sat for 9 months. ex husband wouldnt let me drive it. it had 3/4 of a tank of gas. completely rusted inside big chunks of rust, hence the replacement of the fuel pump filter and tank.

so then this problem is the next step in curing it. seems to be the last step.

just get an aeromotive fuel system and a 302 stroker motor and problem solved Very Happy

did u flush the lines and injectors? i bet uve got an injector that stuck shut. and i used 10-30 for a few months in my truck and it just made all sorts of noise at start up. but 97% of my engines life its had motorcraft synthetic blend 5-20 in it
